Week 9 Highlights

Mansfield power on in D1 with a 4-1 win at Gambit 1. After just 4 games Mansfield have a Board Points difference of + 15. Narrow wins for West Bridgford 1 over Gambit 2 and University 1 over Newark 1. University now sit second in the table, a point behind Mansfield. University last won the League title in 2008-9, a season when Mansfield, with 3 players from their current team, were relegated. University teams won the League title 5 times between 2000 and 2009, including once by University 2.

Ashfield 1 move up to second in D2 with a 3-1 win over Beeston 1. Wins for Radcliffe & Bingham2 over Gambit 4 and R&B 4 over Newark 3. The fixture list threw up a very challenging week for the Gambit Club with 5 of their teams called into action. Gambit 5 scored a good draw at University to rescue a point from the week. Expect the other teams to bounce back. Gambit are the only club with more than 4 teams in the Notts League and of course the only current club capable of fielding two teams in D1.
